Screencasting, Take THREE!
I worked with a number of different programs and had more than a few issues (Screenr flaked, needed to update my Java, etc.) but I was victorious! Here is my first (er, third, but first published!) screencast. I am so excited I know how to do this now... I can see how this is incredibily helpful. I could post videos on my webpage for parent so they and hear "directly" from me about a wide range of topics.
This is just a practice video -- I briefly talk about one aspect that one of the speakers from the Minnetonka Assessment Conference brought up which highlight's our need to have all students prepared for post-secondary success. Enjoy!

My computer will not let me view your video b/c I have to download a new Java plug-in. This may make using Screencast difficult for regular use at school.
ReplyDeleteI'd be interested to hear if you've used Smart Notebook's Recorder and to learn about the differences between the two.
Thanks,
Matt
Nice persistence! This recording is a nice way to add inflection to text- so no one misunderstands how to read it.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing..... I just uploaded my Screencast assignment and also titled "Screencasting, Take 3!" I hadn't even seen yours yet! So, from one struggling Screencaster to another, all I can say is WAY TO GO!!!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine you having links for parents to access on your webpage. This is perfect for that! Your topic was also interesting. The visuals really help convey the message more clearly. Thanks for being persistent and making this work. Aimee
